For those that may not know, a lot goes in to planning a wedding. It's a
huge production! There are so many vendors involved - cake, flowers,
venue, photography, videography, dresses, tuxedos, etc. And with all
that, it is not surprising that during any given wedding, something
might not go as planned. For Teisha & Brandon, that was definitely
the case! Their original venue fell through, leaving them scrambling to
find a new "perfect venue" to get married at. Luckily, the people at
The Wellington in Ogden, heard of their plight and opened their doors to them.
The
cake also had a very unfortunate accident on the way to the venue,
which would definitely be upsetting for any bride. Teisha handled it
like a champ. This couple knew that the most important thing was
saying, "I do", and were determined not to let anything stop them.
The
ceremony took place amongst a packed crowd. This couple was surrounded
by people that loved them, and were willing to go to beat some crazy
odds to be at the wedding. Like the groom's dad, whose car broke down 3
hrs away on the wedding day and still made it because the wedding party
pitched in to get him a rental car. Or the surprise family members who
traveled across the country just to show them they cared. Or the
sister that set aside her tomboy outfit to wear a dress for the first
time in years (tomboy or not, she is gorgeous!). There were tears and
laughter, and plenty of hugs. Even though it was a crazy journey, in
the end everything turned out awesome!

A great make-up artist makes a huge difference!! Definitely an investment worth making. |

Teisha was so nervous! Thankfully she had her mom and ladies (and a little drink!) to help put her at her ease and help her along the way. |

Cool as a cucumber. Or so he said! I LOVE the lighting on these photos. Rembrandt would be proud, lol |

Every woman anticipates the groom's reaction when he sees her for the first time, walking down the aisle in her perfectly chosen gown. Brandon did not disappoint! He got a little misty eyed as she walked towards him with her dad and step-dad. |

These moms adored their children, and obviously raised them right! We should all be so lucky to have women like this in our lives. |
|
We only had a few minutes to capture photos of the bride and groom, but we totally rocked it! The marble hallways and old-fashioned elevator at The Wellington are perfect for some classic portraiture. |
|
During the toasts, these two groomsmen "serenaded the couple with a favorite song. I love Brandon's reaction! |
|
I always get a little teary-eyed during the father-daughter dances, as I remember my own dad. Teisha is so lucky to have two good men to watch over her. |
|
Teisha's dad, and a bunch of the guys, had a band. So they decided to play a few songs for her. So sweet! |
|
Brandon had the coolest groom's ring I have ever seen! It has a little fisherman on it! And I was able to play up their love of Harry Potter by doing the coolest ring shot I have ever done - on a lit sparkler! No photoshop here, folks! It took three people and some special lighting to create this unique image. What is more fun, is that my "helpers" were a past bride and groom I have worked with, that were friends with Teisha and Brandon. I love seeing my clients again!! |
|
I loved their "getaway" car! The perfect ending to an awesome day! |
