John & Flay - {Utah Wedding Photographer}
I LOVED working with Flaydiana (Flay) and her husband, John. Flay is just gorgeous, but she also has a high level of intelligence. John was quiet, but super nice.
When Flay fist approached me about doing her wedding photos, the one thing she said over and over was, "I am not very photogenic". I couldn't believe that all, considering how pretty she is, lol. But sometimes even pretty people feel awkward in front of a camera. As a professional, I really feel that part of my job (a really big part!), is to help my clients feel natural and beautiful. I find posing and lighting that is flattering and appropriate for any body type.
John and Flay were married in the LDS Salt Lake City temple. The whole week before it was gorgeous and sunny and warm. But that day it had turned COLD and WINDY! Flay is from the south, and does not do well in the cold (me neither!), so we had to cut some of our photo time short. Still, I think we got some incredible images!! Her veil was my favorite - super long, and perfect for a very windy day! Even better, she made it herself, so it had special meaning to her. Veils make wonderful props:-)
